We are pleased to announce our newest addition to the staff at TheHoosier.com, Taylor Lehman, a 2018 IU journalism grad and former intern for us.
While he was a student, Taylor worked two and a half years for the Indiana Student Daily, including serving as the sports editor in the fall of 2015. He served as an intern for us during the 2017-18 school year.
After graduation he worked for the Kendallville Publishing Company, which publishes several newspapers serving communities in Northeastern Indiana. He covered prep sports and helped on the news beat for the company.
In February of this year, Taylor moved to Ohio to cover football recruiting for Eleven Warriors, a large Ohio State site.
When we told him about our opening, he said he needed to check on some situations. A few hours later, he texted us: “Enter my name for the position.”
He immediately became our first choice and will join TheHoosier.com at the end of August. Taylor brings us a passion for IU sports, strong writing and reporting ability, an excellent work ethic and a background in covering football recruiting for a major web site.
We’re excited about having Taylor here and like to think we “stole” someone from Ohio State.
