Stadium parking hacked?

My wife works for the IU chancellor and we got access to his tickets yesterday, but once we got into the parking lot they told us our barcode had already been scanned and kicked us out! We had to find our own parking several blocks from the stadium. If parking security has been compromised then I assume fake game tickets are being sold via a duplicate e-ticket barcode.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

I know what I'm proposing isn't an option for everyone (for example, if you've got a big tailgate and have a lot to unload, or if walking some distance isn't an option), but I really like parking at the Poplars garage and then just hoofing it up to the stadium. My son and I did that yesterday. Hassle-free, free parking, and it's not a bad walk. The only downside is you need to arrive early because the garage fills up pretty quickly.

What a difference a year makes. Last year I parked at the Poplars garage for the Wisconsin game. I was the only car there when I parked ( 90 - 120 minutes before gametime). When I left, after I walked around campus after the game, not many cars then, either.

Are you sure it was "hacked"? I have physical tickets/parking pass and access to my digital tickets so it's easier to share with my kids/friends.

The Chancellor may have digitally sent you their parking pass, and their spouse, or child, unwittingly passed along the physical copy.

did you go by where your parking pass was and see who was in your spot? he probably gave 2 people access to the pass by accident

We parked in the grass lot next to the church and payed $50. The research lot behind that area only had a few cars there with no one charging. I swear the people who parked across that street on the east side didn’t pay anything. Probably 30 or so parked in the grass. I would think that grassy area is public property.
