In regards to availability of starter level talent or key depth piece talent, curious what the landscape was last spring and what you think this springs portal availability will look like?

Tia.

One of the FB mags has Indiana in 10th place for transfers from the portal. It'll be of interest to see what if any spring transfers Coach Cignetti adds. Cam Rice come on down.

Nico is in the portal searching for his bag. This is the wild wild West. Good for TN for cutting bait and letting him walk. He is not that great.

Yea. That's also a recruiting error for the Vols... can't have guys like that around and it makes sense they told him to go.

It will be very interesting where he ends up. I saw USC, UCLA, and TTU being thrown around as destinations, but I don't follow Vols football too closely.

I can’t imagine Tino taking him if he is trouble though.
I’m a firm believer in the talent/trouble matrix.

You can be an a-hole, but you’ve got to make up for it with your talent.

Like if I can’t stand an employee but they’re awesome at their job and make me money, they’re not likely getting fired. But there’s always the ability to out kick your coverage, so to speak.

If you’re gonna be a cancer on the locker room, then you better be a generational talent.

This guy is not generational.

This is a great point.

I don’t necessarily think it’s him or has “character issues” IMO. I believe he has gotten bad advice from his dad and agent. I doubt he gets the money he’s looking for and probably won’t get what he was at UT. They tried to play the game and failed. FWIW.. I wouldn’t want any part of that circus but it will be interesting to see who does.

Sounds kinda familiar…

Cam Rice is visiting today. He's a DT from Ohio University, 6-3, 290. He'd be awesome to have commit. Go Hoosiers!.
He was at Purdue this past weekend. Seemed to indicate he looked small and Purdue wasn’t taking him. But that could be defense specific. Idk. Got a different dude, so maybe that was it as well. I think he’s making his rounds.

Rice has plenty of P4 interest. IU did good things with James Carpenter and Tyrique Tucker who were/are both under 300 pounds. Thanks for the insight @BoilerN

I Did not think you were. I appreciate intelligent football talk.
Really great response. It could mean one thing or the other.

Possibly saying, the OP was contributing to intelligent football talk -OR- A very low-key way of saying, it wasn’t intelligent football talk and to get that sh!t outta here, hahaha!

Please don’t respond for clarification. It’s best the way it is. 😉

What does this have to do with anything? Or you just living in the past on iu’s best win last year?
IU had two 'best' wins last season, IMO...
UCLA set the tone for the season with that away conference win, and the Nebraska curb stomping lit the fire under the fans.

The 66-0 ass whooping was just icing on the cake.

With respect to problematic partners...I always told our sales leaders that a customer can shit like an elephant as long as he eats like one.

Indiana's best win last year was Michigan, followed by the hammering of Nebraska.

The other wins were critical and had importance at the time but let's call a spade a spade.
Yeah, didn't get to eleven with out all eleven.

But that win...while funny as hell...ranked about eigth.
