Spooky “drones” over NJ

LOL. I thought McMurt was referring to some reality show villain from RHONY.
They’re more frightening than anything any gov can do. I was in line at sbx behind Meghan king from RHOC last week. Skinny as a bird. You think they’re thin on tv it’s nothing until you see them in person

That’s Tom Clancy like shit.
The last Ukrainian nuclear warhead was transferred to Russia in 1996. They trying to say one was mistakenly sent to the US? Also, nuclear warheads deteriorate fairly rapidly and must be upgraded regularly. I don't think that's what happened.

There is a bias. Once one buys a car one starts to notice that pretty much everyone on the road drives that model. Once one is looking for something unusual, one sees it. I posted the story about pockmarked windshields in the NW and the fears around that. How many people do you think normally get a pockmark and just ignore it. But once it became a thing, everyone started reporting them. It suddenly became huge. It doesn't necessarily mean that there were more pockmarks, just they were noticed by people looking for them.
There's a lot of 'noticing' going around these days.

Sure is, they spotted them in Wyoming several months ago. I'm unsure how ships launch drones flying over Wyoming, but there you have it.

Oklahoma has them, and also pretty far for a ship-launched drone:

Kentucky has them:

Add to the list, Ohio, Utah, and the great state of Germany:

Why are you applying “ship launched” to all scenarios?

So whoever is doing it is using a ship in NJ, but they have dropped off people all over the US to fly drones for no known reason but to scare Americans. Knowing full well in Wyoming and many other places anyone that catches them will be armed leading to capture and the foreign power feeling the wrath of the US?

We don’t know where they are coming from. Doesn’t have to be a ship. I guess Biden said today they are still working to find out what’s going on

Why have you chosen to latch on to one theory, that they are launched from a ship, given the lack of information available?

That is a very common claim, recall the sheriff seeing 50 coming in off the ocean? A CG ship was trailed?

So let us say NONE are coming by ship. That means more people are physically in the US launching SUV sized drones and absolutely no one has seen the people launching them, nor the drones being moved to and from the launch sites. And this is happening everywhere. NJ is relatively dense, unlike Wyoming. No one has reported seeing an SUV sized drone being carried around to a launch site, anywhere. No ring doorbells and other cameras have seen them. These people seeming scattered across almost every state are damn good.

They were dropped and being controlled by high altitude, giant spy balloons!

What exactly are you contending, that there are no drones?

Not at all. 1) there are as many drones as is being reported as helicopters and normal plane traffic is being reported as drones. I posted a link the a Bloomington newspaper headline yesterday that drones were seen over Bloomington and there were 3 photos. Two were clearly a helicopter. 2) that the remaining drones are unknown but at least some may have already been flying around pretty much unnoticed until someone raised an alarm and now everyone is looking up and seeing everything. This includes things they would have ignored before.

That doesn't mean there aren't some small number of drones that fall into the unidentifiable category. There may well be. We have radar pretty much everywhere, and some of the drones have been sighted near air bases. One would think they can see exactly where the drones climb above trees and where they descend below. I know there are stories of fighter jets picking up cars, so our military radar is pretty good. We routinely fly AWACS along the east coast and they have tremendous radar quite capable of spotting an SUV flying at 100 feet.

This leads to the conclusion that the government knows what they are and doesn't want to say. So it isn't a cause for "the sky is falling".

And for you, Trump will be president in a month and he can release the operation. Or take details of it to store in Mar-A-Lago.

I agree that the gov’t likely knows what they are, & is likely deploying them, meaning that they’d rather lie than acknowledge, which begs the question, why? More ineptitude by the the most inept administration of our lifetime. If they don’t know who is deploying them, we should all be very concerned, but again, not shocked given the balloon fiasco earlier this year. In case you didn’t notice, some of our nation’s armed forces seem to be taking their cues on competency from their CiC….

So do you believe our govt is lying to us?
Maybe. There was a link that it was an experiment to see if drones would cause mass hysteria, answer is yes. I am still not sure it isn't all mistaken sightings, but if it is real it is almost certainly government. The question then is, why. Maybe there is a valid reason. But little to fret, in a month Trump can give us the hard facts.
