A source tells me that former IU tight Michael Cooper signed a 1-year deal at the rookie minimum salary (which is $450,000 according to spotrac).
Obviously he will have to survive preseason roster cuts in order for the contract to be guaranteed. But he's on the Steelers now and will at least have the opportunity to hopefully get some playing time.
