Opening night last night for Stl City sc. incredible light show. Rated the number one soccer stadium experience in America. Other than the protest for the open cup it’s truly a special place. 60,000 people signed up for 18,000 season tix. Highest resale ticket prices. The entire lower bowl stands the entire game. Not just the supporters section. The entire lower bowl. It is THE best experience in mls. Perfection.
Now with that as a backdrop what did I see last night beyond the most impressive theatre in American sports. Well mark. I saw a dead ball at half field. Just to the side of the center circle. To my disgust and disbelief I saw the guy on the ball raise his hand while half a dozen players ran into the box. Then he proceeded to play a 55 yard ball into “the mixer.” A phrase worse than a Burger King ad. Thinking it can’t get worse than that. I witnessed on two separate occasions play paused while one of our guys proceeded to run across the field. Wtf is he doing I asked. Hoping against hope I’m not waiting for a “long thrower” like a jv high school star. Alas that’s precisely what it was. He could throw it to the penalty spot. Perhaps next we’ll really be on to something and get someone who can do a flip throw.
The game ended 0-0. I would give up the entire Stl City sc viewing rights for 2025 before I’d give up one episode of sister wives
Demand for St. Louis City SC tickets isn’t slowing as for the second-year fans are paying much bigger prices for tickets on the resale market than backers of nearly all other MLS clubs.
