Shooting...

Amazing how well most of the teams that were still playing the last few days shoot. Auburn, UT, PU, MSU, UK just to name a few. After watching IU brick so many open shots this season, it's a pleasure to see teams hit big, contested shots.

We couldn’t consistently hit open threes this season. You gotta wonder if it’s a mental thing. I always think back to Dane Fife. During his freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons he couldn’t hit the floor of he fell down. Then, after “getting some help” with whatever mental issues he had regarding shooting, he lit it up during his senior year. That was a fun team to watch when Fife, Hornsby, and Coverdale were all hitting 3s. The crew-cut crew.

Off top of my head, the '02 game at IU vs a top 10 Illini team comes to mind for great shooting. It's on YouTube somewhere. One of the all-time fun games to watch. Topped off by a Newt posterizing of Lucas Johnson!!

And of course the Elite game vs Kent where IU hit I think their first 8 3's.

‘02, not ‘92

Remember when the key to tournament success was guard height? It had nothing to do with shooters. I wonder what it will be when we fail next year?

Do you not want any success here? Nobody in the fan base is hapoy but it’s like you hope Archie fails

His dumb ass finally went on ignore. It’s not that his posts “bother” me, it’s that I find his posts to be a complete waste of time. My time is valuable (at least to me) and I’m picky about how I waste it.

Archie has already failed. Next year will be worse than this one. I just want us to accept that and move on.
He hasn’t already failed.. next year if he hasn’t put his finger on the program then yes. This year had some serious chemistry and player issues. I have a feeling you will see some major changes and next year won’t be as dire as you Lead us to believe. Let’s see what peices are added before you call his tenure a failure

I guess we’ll see. He better add some late pieces. His recruiting has been a huge struggle to say the least so far.

It has? I would say to early to tell on a few..
Anderson wasn’t a great addition but give Forrester time and I think he will be a player.

All studs...hell he has had only two classes and one hasn’t got here yet nor is the class complete

When does Archie receive his National COY trophy?
ESAD baboso. When your special needs nurse gets done feeding you pudding you should take a nap and let the smarter people talk about basketball and stop bleating your butthurt all over the board.

You’d do better listening more and posting less. You have a lot to learn young grasshopper.

Yep. It amazes me we have so few shooters. No Indiana team should be so devoid of shooters. Seems Green is getting it and RP should be good. If AD can step it up and we add another, we should be set next year or two. Shooting killed us.
