Shit is wild. Pay for play.

I guess Emmert doesn't want to deal. He's out in 2023.
About 10 years too late. We're in this mess because he has washed his hands of the O'Bannon Class Action Suit and everything that came out of it. He could have made headway to figure out how to make all this a little more equitable and controlled rollout instead of giving us the wild wild west we have right now.

Well, that escalated quickly.
How would you like to be the TA that figures scores and has to give either one of them a D- in Parks and Rec. 100.

"Coach is on the phone"
"Agent is on the phone"
"Life Wallet is on the phone"
"some big dude named Pauly is waiting for you by your car"

In the famous words of THE Ahia players..."we ain't come to play school".

All the under the table money now comes out of the woodwork. Blue Chips casino baby!

I wouldn’t say it’s ALL legal and still think there is some gray area. NCAA rules indicate that NIL deals can’t be contingent on committing to a particular school. Now I think there are ways NIL contracts can be structured to gets around that to a certain degree, but if places get careless or try to push the boundaries too much, there is still a lot of potential for violations
There are no rules.
NCAA is toothless.
The arms race is on.

It’s all legal now.
Bama in the SEC has a Million dollar QB.

spoiler alert,

2028 BCS National Football Playoffs scores,

in the semi finals, Ohio State loses 41-0, and Bama gets mauled 47-0.

in the final,

in their very first yr as universities, and 1st yr playing football, Bezos Tech edges out Musk Tech, 31-30.

Musk Tech gets revenge in the NCAA Basketball final though, taking down Bezos Tech by 2, after UCLA and Duke lose by 28 and 32 respectively, in the semi finals..

on a side note, MTU and BTU both seem to be getting off to great recruiting starts in both fball and bball, for the 2029 incoming classes..
