Not confirmed but reports are that is dead. Shot in the back twice with a shotgun after a speech.

Really? This is a sad and serious thread. And this is what you share? Who exactly has TDS here? Pathetic.
Was thinking the same. Dude wakes up thinking of Trump and Trump is likely on his mind when he goes to sleep. I imagine his best dreams include Trump in various fashion.

Im guessing the shooter was a psycho-babbler with strong social media wokeness opinions. The “listen to me” folks are getting crazier every day.

He was probably a psycho white nationalist with Trump worship and decided to take him out due to his race ;)

Dbm's Trump fascination aside. Is there anything wrong with sharing that tweet? I wouldn't think twice if someone shared a Biden, Bush, or Obama tweet about the assassination.

I think the issue was mostly with dems being labeled as having TDS whenever they bring trump up and then he brings him up.

IMO bringing Trump up should be fair game for as long as trump is putting himself into the spotlight and puppeteering GOP politics.

The content of that particular Trump tweet was ok. Mainly par for the course on what politicians tend to write when someone dies.

I will say it’s not an embarrassing statement. Wonder who wrote it?

which tells me someone wrote it for him

I suspect some kind of nationalist leaning but who knows. Could just be a run of the mill nutjob.

Just a guess -- either he felt Abe wasn't militant enough or was angry that he was breaking away from the pacifist stance they took since WW2?

My guess would be the former if he was subscribing to this vein of thought. Or he was pissed at Abe for failing -- his life goal was to amend Article 9 of the Japanese constitution.

Abe would grace the Shinto temple that would rever the fallen heroes of WW2 annually. That would always irritate the Chinese every year considering that the Japanese soldiers killed up to 10 million Chinese during WW2.

All assassins are run-of-the-mill nutjobs.

They all think they are right, that anyone who disagrees is a lesser deplorable, and that murder of those who won’t listen is a legitimate response. Law doesn't matter. Only their opinion.

Abe was considered to be a nationalist.
Sometimes you can't be nationalist enough. He was big on working with India in what appears to be a very large trade partnership along with other SE Asian nations.

Imagine that - a homemade shotgun..... in a country that has strict gun control.
I can't figure out how the guy got so close. He was like 10 feet away. Odd.

I think that's really a stretch. Abe was all about building up the Japanese military.

The guy is more likely a pacifist and against changing the Japanese Constitution to take out the pacifist language.

Just a lapse in security. He doesn't hold position now and he was just giving a speech.

Unless you suspect some kind of conspiracy?

I criticized an assassin. Zeke insulted me. I fought back. You called ME out.

Welcome to the Cooler.
You truly are either totally disingenuous or totally un self aware. I didn’t insult you for criticizing an assassin. But I’m giving you credit that you know that.

Nah, never assume malice that which can be attributed to incompetence.

Could be. He was in the Navy so who knows. Is military service compulsory in Japan?
