Not saying it doesn't work but the trajectory of the program is going south fast. Why not start over with a 66 year old man everybody knew this was a stop gap. Next year he will be a lame duck coach who has to turn over his whole roster and implement his beyond confusing defense to a bunch of young new players your just asking for a 10-15 win season in year 4.

That is where we were at with archie if he had been allowed back for a fifth year. That next season was going to be a complete disaster.

True. Also, there is no rationale for firing a guy who went to the tourney in his first 2 seasons with a 2nd place last year. Plus he advanced in both the BTT and the NCAA. I'm not defending the play this year, but Woodson does not deserve to be fired whether anyone has "seen enough" or not.
I don't like how they are playing. But Woodson should get another year unless something derailing happens.

He may get another season but that does not mean the fanbase will not totally turn on him if this gets ugly. Yes he made the tourney but he also has TDJ which to me made it much easier its not like he came in here and built a roster from scratch.

I listed in another thread 7 former players that had a lot of success at their Alma Maters. One was Branch McCracken.

40 years is a long time, but the assertion was that coaches don’t do well at their Alma Maters. It’s not always true. There are more than the 7 I listed that did very well.
