Yeah, same thoughts. I actually tried verifying immigration counts into Finland and other places, and the numbers didn’t seem to match up too well. But they were also a little bit outdated so it’s hard to know.
Russia has a population around 150 million. The US had a much higher population during Vietnam and the 58,000 deaths there touched pretty much everyone in the US.
I can't imagine how the number of Russian deaths in the war are affecting the average Russian, even if they don't have a loved one in the military. They have to see the funerals and graveyards.
