It's not like he can just wave a wand and good players just appear. Two words. Transfer portal.
He couldn't get a good guard out of the portal last year.
Can he do it this year along with a big and a wing and a...... and a....... and a......

You're no patriot. Why do you only post when you have negativity to express?
Because they are seniors this year.Hmm. Not a big deal, but why did they do senior day? They want to do it twice?
False.Because they are seniors this year.
Next year, they won't be seniors.
I do actually and to animal shelters. I hope your talking about military not the Indiana players. How about you donate to the troops?
We lost a ton last year -- TJD, Race Thompson, Miller Kopp and Hood-Schifino.I've said many times that IU doesn't prioritize athletics in the way that many other schools do. Knight was, perhaps, a bit of good fortune for the basketball program...a young Army coach who turned out to be a basketball genius. It seems unlikely that is going to happen again at IU.
I imagine there's a good chance that Woodson makes it through his contract. We almost recovered enough to make the tourney this season, so I'd have to think we'll be better next season. I'm not a Woodson fan, but rooting for disaster in order to make a change is no way to watch your team.
Prove him wrong!I do actually and to animal shelters. I hope your talking about military not the Indiana players.
A well reasoned post. I agree the Leal and Trey would not come back if they thought it would be a dumpster fire. A recent Hossier Hysterics podcast guest noted that we've been working the portal well. I am not as pessimistic as most of the clowns postingThis doesn't seem likely, at this point. The player he threw under the bus more than any other, Trey, is seemingly coming back for a 5th year.
To me, everything that's happened recently, and is happening, points towards more players being back than most have guessed on this board.
Until we know what the roster is going to look like though, no one has a clue what next year is going to look like. But I gotta think, if Leal and Galloway thought it was going to be a dumpster fire, they probably wouldn't have announced they're coming back the way they did.

Did you notice that Leal played 28 minutes against MSU last night? That's a lot more fun than sitting on the bench where Woodson parked him much of the year.Hmmm. Maybe he loves playing basketball, specifically at IU? I bet he'd stay without NIL.
Have you eaten all your prunes today? And your optimism and positivity has produced the kind of results and mediocrity th fan base apparently now accepts. Our program is a shit show. Has Woodson even come close to his goals he stated No!!
Galloway and Leal are both listed as seniors on IU's team roster right now.False.
Also, false.Galloway and Leal are both listed as seniors on IU's team roster right now.
Do you think they won't earn enough credits to graduate or something?
Makes no sense. The idiots will probably have senior day again next year.GOOD
True, not false:Also, false.

all your opinionOK. That’s your opinion. Do you think at 66 woody’s coaching style and overall leadership is going to change dramatically. He is average coach. His body of work proves it. I could be wrong but It will take a dramatic statistical abnormality for him to elevate the program significantly especially given the recruiting results and his arrogance and attitude regarding change

So, let them enjoy their college experience.Makes no sense. The idiots will probably have senior day again next year.
Working the portal? There’s only like 6 or 7 kids in the portal currently.A well reasoned post. I agree the Leal and Trey would not come back if they thought it would be a dumpster fire. Maybe Leal also loves the fact that Woodson now seems to recognize that Leal has talent and can contribute.
Leal played 23 minutes against Minnesota in the prior game. I have no doubt he's getting more minutes.Maybe AL played 28 yesterday because TG only played like 7?
There's ways to do it without signaling out the fan base. Without the fans, there's no ridiculous NIL money. He is protecting his coach, Loyalty is a rare trait.
At some point you're right, but isn't most of the real NIL money coming from a few mega-donors (Simon, Cook, etc.). I don't think normal fans are giving much to the NIL collectives, maybe I'm wrong? There's ways to do it without signaling out the fan base. Without the fans, there's no ridiculous NIL money.
The Hoosier Hysterics goobers somehow had $1.5M raised, which I believe is mostly small donors. Unsure on the time period because they don’t disclose much (not good!). I don’t know what the normal fan gives to the other collectives. That said, while it sure isn’t billionaire $, it adds up to something material in the millions. At some point you're right, but isn't most of the real NIL money coming from a few mega-donors (Simon, Cook, etc.). I should have been clearer, I wasn't saying the money comes from the fans but without fans, the program suffers to the point that the donors are not going to be giving to a program that can't draw in fans... confused yet? lolAt some point you're right, but isn't most of the real NIL money coming from a few mega-donors (Simon, Cook, etc.). I get it, that's basically what I meant by "at some point" .... i.e. if there is no audience, sponsors lose interest. We're a long ways from that, hopefully.I should have been clearer, I wasn't saying the money comes from the fans but without fans, the program suffers to the point that the donors are not going to be giving to a program that can't draw in fans... confused yet? lol
Part of what stinks about the current IUBB is our donations, NIL, etc. would be much higher if we were a top-15 team that could try and win the conference make a Final Four run. Everyone would be very excited vs. being forced to smile over a late season run with a tiny chance of getting us in the tourney (with no recruits yet next year).I should have been clearer, I wasn't saying the money comes from the fans but without fans, the program suffers to the point that the donors are not going to be giving to a program that can't draw in fans... confused yet? lol
