They just either refused to believe how far bad off biden was or figured they could keep hiding it until the election. Bottom line is they waited far too long to get rid of him and were doomed.
The main question is, Who was in charge of the Auto Pen? Will the Biden family pardons hold up in Court.

They will not be challenged. I don't know what is so hard to understand about this. They couldn't possibly prove that Biden didn't authorize the pardons and if they were signed by autopen, it's irrelevant.
If the question is whether the preemptive pardons should have been issued, my answer would be no, but it's not up to me and they will not be challenged.

Absent an invocation of the 25th, Biden was the president and had the power to authorize the signatures, no matter how jellified his brain really was.

A facsimile signature is not self authenticating.
You still have to prove authorization. An auto pen is legally the same as a rubber stamp.
