Whoever doesn’t believe the transfer rule hurts mid-majors is uninformed.
A high paying D2 job and your average mid-major salary isn't that different. I would think it's easier to build a cohesive D2 program now than a successful MVC team.
From a Jan 2025 NCAA Division II head college coach salary survey results the high salary for a division 2 basketball coach in our survey was $110,000. MVC coaching salaries ranged from 225K to 940K in 2021. I'm sure it is higher now. I don't know about you, but making 100K or make about 580K (Median) would be pretty different for me. Even doubling your salary for the 225 is pretty different.
Its all about offense Alabama just scored over 100 25 threes Duke over 100 and Florida scored almost 90. I hope DeVries is ready to adapt to modern college basketball.
