Reneau gone

Good…flush the roster and let Coach DD build his own team. I assume MM, Tucker, Rice and Carlyle are right behind MR.
Who is going to pony up NIL money for any of them, except Rice?

I do hate to see Reneau go. We were a much better team with him in the lineup this year. If he hadn't gotten hurt, we could have had a much better record.

Let him go...below rim big that can't recognize a double team before it's too late. Or play defense.

We’ve got 7 million NIL funds. Oh you mean other schools. Never mind!

Scour every conference regular season and tournament champions roster…and make a list of their top 3-4 players.

Then look back and pick state title winners/finalists from that list.

Then go get some of those guys that fit your style and are athletic and talented and enough to be impactful at a place like IU.

well leading scorer and shot over 55%, 2nd only to Ballo (well Leal was slightly ahead but only 1.5 shots per game)
Over 55% of the shots he got up...his iso offense resulted in too many turnovers. If you didn't see his lack of junior year decision making, no comment. He was also regularly abused on defense.

Not denying that, you said he could not consistently make a lay up, obviously if you are 2nd in FG% and leading scorer you made layups pretty consistently.

He did/does have flaws, for sure, but he did have decent footwork and could finish. Decision making and defense has nothing to do with the ability to make a layup.

Seriously. Tom Brew wrote something to the effect of: “Really? After 3 years?”
Brew Crew!!! he is my favorite. He gets pissed on twitter. Goes off on people. people mess with him because of it, makes me laugh.

All fair points...he does have great footwork, and can finish when he actually gets a shot off lol. I misread/read into your earlier comment...my apologies. I'm a huge fan that just wants us to get back to where we were in my formative years.

West Virgina shoots threes over 800 attempts at 26.5 ranks 50th compared to Indiana over 600 and 19.8 ranks 291. Offense Efficiency is not good ranked 255 while Indiana was 152. Defensive Efficiency was 21 elite while Indiana was 111.

I think Malik gave good effort. He got bigger and stronger. And he pretty much demanded double teams. The problem IMO is that he is a 5 on offense with no perimeter skills. But he can’t be a 5 on defense because he gives zero rim protection and is a poor defender.
So he is always a defensive liability. I’m fine if he returns, because he can get you buckets. But he needs to be a 25 minute guy.

Lol. Avg 2 ast/gm in 23 min/game with a 32% 3 pt shooting perimeter.

Per 40 and 37% from 3, he averages 5 ast/gm. Best in NCAA among F/C.

Who cares but we don't have to pony it up if we don't want too.
