Realistic current standing

NET ranking of 33 hading into tonight. It’ll drop to 35 or so.

Well lose to MSU on Saturday, and the bullshit with the players won’t be solved by then. But despite the slide, we’ll still be a top 40 NET team, with a decent schedule remaining with lots of Quad 1 opportunities.

Win the two home games we should win in Maryland and Rutgers. Both VERY losable, but we’ll be favored in both. That’s 9 wins.

Then you have a decent road opportunity in Minny. And a winnable, huge NCAA boosting home game against Wisky. Get 1 of those and that’s 10. And that might get us in.

Other 2 games are highly unlikely wins, but great opportunities. If we could rise up and steal either one, we’d be in, in all likelihood.

Still a lot of ball ahead of us.

Gotta hope Woody pushes the right buttons with the 5 idiots. And that they come back and everyone comes together. If that happens by next week, we’ll make the tourney. If not, we won’t.

Taking that into account, and MSU coming off a loss… no chance.

MSU has struggled with guard play. I believe they have lost 4 of their last 7 (including getting crushed by Rutgers).

Izzo should have them fired up, but this year is starting to look more like last year for them - this is not your typical MSU team. They struggle with scoring

With that being said I suspect the game will be more about us than them.
