Race is returning

They can play them at the same time. They just can’t run the same types of stuff all the time. In my opinion.
By the end of the season Race was hitting those jumpers. He only needs to hit 1 out of 3 a game. That makes people guard him. He’s certainly capable and it will show. Now we wait and wonder if JG transfers.

I still think Race coming back likely means TJD is gone. Or better put, Race coming back is likely a sign he knows TJD is staying In the draft. But yeah, if TJD does come back, it’ll sure be interesting what Jordan does.

I don’t think that at all. Most indications I’ve seen he’s coming back. If he was truly gone he would’ve signed with an agent.

Has there ever been an IU player who has played a sixth year?

A couple months ago, TJD's comments in an interview about Geronimo taking over for Race next year led everyone to believe that Race was gone. After giving a Senior Night speech, I thought his plans were finalized.

Six years...wow!

True. Hopefully we’ve got a couple.
Best news I have heard today, the Race is on ! The reason we clog the middle is very simple, look at North Carolina and Kansas and see there outside guys are in constant motion making the defense work hard while keeping the lanes open to dive into or feed the big men who are not surrounded by the outside defenders.

I think it’s the exact opposite. Race and Trayce are best friends. Race coming back likely means Trayce is coming back(unless something crazy happens at the combine)and they want to do this together

They also have a stretch 4. Manek was a shooter while playing the 4

I don’t see how TJD’s decision has any negative effect on Race. They don’t play the same position. To me, Race’s return indicates TJD is returning (doubt if Race wants to be a center).

My theory is the BTT run and making the tourney changed his mind. Senior night was in the middle of another end of season collapse and he was probably ready to move on. Now he's on a mission to get back.

Though I think TJD will return, I wonder what the offensive and defensive efficiency numbers look like with Race and Geronimo in the same lineup.

Well at least go look at the stats. It might surprise some of you. If you take out the tournament. KU hit ten more 3s. Their forwards were hitting at a 27% clip. They won this championship with defense, offensive efficiency and rebounding. Not shooting a bunch of 3s. They were 35% , we were 34%. They also don’t turn the ball over. This notion you have to be 40 plus from 3 is nonsense. They had no pure shooter either. While Manek for UNC is great they only shot at a 36% clip. IU isn’t that far off.

The boards i have seen has him anywhere from 26th to 33rd
I’ve seen the one you are referring to. Has him 26th on the big board but drafted. 33 overall. The rest are saying not drafters or late second round. He’s not getting drafted at 35. That’s his best case scenario. I’ve seen 33 all the way to not drafted with most saying 46th or worse.

Great news. He probably doesn’t have a lot more upside, but his consistency allows Woodson to build around him. Third team all Big Ten.

If he develops a little bit better 3pt shot he will be a great stretch 4. He rebounds, can defend, handles the ball above avg - he could easily become a 15+ppg player

How many we making per game vs them?

draft net is a joke.

Great stretch fours are volume scorers from all three levels. I see Race as a banger with a developing three point shot. If he’s dribbling the ball on the perimeter, we are in trouble.

And one of those was a nasty concussion season. He's improved every season since. Bring it again, Race
