crazy how close their stats were at iu and then both made 3 all-star games in the NBA. before my time but always heard they were outstanding players

I was in Phoenix for my honeymoon in 1977 and my wife's relatives took me to a Phoenix Suns game against the Pacers That night the Suns honored Dick on his retirement, retired his jersey, and showed highlights of his career with IU and the Suns. It was a real thrill to be there.

For me the Van Arsdale twins were the poster players for IUBB. I read about their HS exploits every week. Got to view IUBB games on TV while they played for the Crimson and Cream. As a young guy a couple years behind them they were roll models to me and tons of other Hoosier boys. DVA R.I.P.
