How is the bye week determined by Big Ten schedule makers? And, who is "the" Big Ten schedule maker?
IU has its bye very early after just two games and then a GRIND through the entire Big Ten season with no break.
From what I could tell, it looks like most of the Big Ten schools have their bye in the middle of, or during, the Big Ten season.
Further, Indiana catches both Nebraska and Rutgers after they are coming off of their bye week - seemingly a disadvantage in the middle of the Big Ten season as both of those opponents will have a full extra week to heal and prepare for IU
Certainly consideration would be given for balancing this type of issue so that no team has more than one opponent coming off of a bye week. Yes?
So, who specifically creates the schedules?
