Question about Egg Prices

We would have probably ended up being best friends.

Never comfortable with that. Zero quality, age or sourcing control.
You can always float test the egg if in doubt. If you've not tried a farm fresh egg sourced locally, you should.

The egg yolk is a deep orange. The color difference from store bought is incredible. Plus they usually last a week or more longer than store eggs. They've not wasted time being shipped around the country.

If Thornton Melon can make a mint with his Tall and Fat stores, why can't Newman make a mint with those?
🤣🤣. Brad wrote that and I thought hey maybe there’s an opport. No. Not only are there no new ideas there aren’t even names available
$127 for one shirt? Damn.
Bespoke. It’s a solid website. Have you ever had a bellywink 🤣🤣🤣

As somebody who consumes eggs 4-5 days a week for the past decade or so, my experience is that they have been on a price/quality roller coaster since 2020. They were (and still are really) the cheapest form of unprocessed animal protein at the grocery store coming in at about a buck or so a dozen back then. While they are around 15% or so less protein per ounce than the typical cuts of beef, pork or chicken, a dozen large eggs is about 4 bucks even now which is only about 16 cents an ounce. Obviously inflation hit eggs like every other thing, but also a number of bouts of avian flu among producers and I would imagine staffing issues during and post covid have had a hand.

My biggest issue with eggs the past several years is quality control. It's gone downhill. Weak thin shells, too much variation of size in the same carton, watery whites and such.
