QB Jacob Bell visiting IU Saturday

You should try to get a quarterback in every class would be my thought. Especially in todays college landscape.
Yes, and maybe even double up every other year. Some QBs are good enough athletes that they may be converted to another position.
I forget which NFL GM I was listening to but he said you should draft a QB in each draft class regardless of whom you have starting.

Jacob Bell visited during a game this season (Nebraska or Washington) & mentioned he had a great time & remarked about the crowd enthusiasm. I believe he'll commit this wknd. Now hopefully, One of the transport QB's will also.

Or the brothers are going to follow Tino to UCLA

I'd be surprised to see anyone leave until the Spring Portal... If the backups are smart they'll hang tough until Cignetti tells them they're probably not going get a shot when their time comes up...

All of those guys are one or two plays away from starting... We were extremely fortunate that our QB this year was as resilient as he was...

Just bailing to hope the grass is greener isn't necessarily a good move... There's tough competition wherever they go at the FBS level...

Well, if we lose to ND (of course, this can only happen if the refs screw us because the CFP wants ND to advance. That's the ONLY way IU loses), if we do lose, then Alberto could enter the portal.

I don't think the bros will go to UCLA, but I also won't be shocked.

Here's an article about him:

A thumbnail look:

An update:

If Cignetti likes him. I like him...
I live in the area. Good FB area played in a tough conference and broke a bunch of school passing records. He was the local player of the year.

New world order in football:

Max shelf life on a college QB is 3 years at any one school. Get used to kids moving on. It’s a way of life going forward. It just is.
Every team is dealing with it. In the Big Ten alone, 23 QBs entered the portal so far.

What I don't understand is that they predict the total number of points as 52.5, with ND favored by 7.5. That means that ND is expected to score about 30 points. I think that is ridiculous.

I'd honestly let him play at Ball State and if he looks good he can transfer over. That way you are not wasting a scholarship on someone who is 4th on the depth chart.
Right, but maybe Coach Cignetti & staff view him as much more (remember stars don't count with Coach Cig) & plus as others have mentioned there maybe undeclared QB/s entering the portal.

Yes, but if you go that route & he plays well, his market value increases & now IUs forced to pay more money for him & possibly not be able to get him due to being outbid by another school.
