Unfortunately Buckner and the Cook Indiana King Makers won’t get the beat down they deserve. In fact there’s no guarantee they won’t rerun the whole thing again.
I don't know how much of fight they will put up. Quinn is a lame duck. I am hopeful they give up and let Scott and Pam do their thing. If they do put up a fight, I think Scott can prevail, his moves with FB and the significant financial impact that has had on the athetlic dept and university will hopefully carry the day. If not, we're screwed!
Buckner will still be president of the BOT when the decision is made. The rest of the board may follow along like little ducklings. I have no confidence in them.
It may be torches and pitchforks time. If Dolson didn't get a shot to make the hire last time, he better this time: he has more than earned it after Cig.
Quinn is a lame duck though, and everyone just watched his guy fail while Scott's FB program flourished. I'm not sure what Quinn can do to Scott at this point, anything would be temporary he is gone in June.
I am not trying to be argumentative but Quinn and the board have final say, not Scott or the President.
