I think the defense did pretty well overall. That one bad play early really skews things. Take that away, and Iowa did very little on offense. Even with that big play, the D only gave up 303 yards, held Iowa to 33% third down conversions, and held Petras to 48% completion. It wasn't dominating, by any means, but it was fairly strong.
I also think the WR corps looks promising again. There may have been some plays Penix held the ball too long or threw into coverage because no one was open, but more often than not, I think it was simply that he couldn't find the open guy.
