No knowledge at all but I think we will. I would not bring surprised to see a QB commit this weekend.
I think they were waiting for the ND game to be over to finalize some things with the players who had a long list of visits.
I thought we weren’t hosting visits this weekend due to the game? The broadcasting crew even mentioned it (in the context of getting a bye vs playing).
I know I heard someone is,can’t remember who is visiting today.
Cig said they had 7 visits today.
We’ve got seven or more players on campus this weekend. Dead period starts Monday, so gotta get them in now.
I believe the Penn State backup QB Beau Pribula is visiting today.

We did not take visits last week to prepare for the game. This weekend is different.
During his interview on the ESPN Pre-Game Show Coach Cig said he had portal visitors to meet with today and Sunday.

It’s just odd to me a player taking OVs literally the same day their teammates are in a huge playoff game. I realize that’s the new reality but I hate it.

Franklin explained it very well this past week. It all has to do with how they completely botched the whole timing of the portal window. And, these guys have to be enrolled and in their new campus within 2 weeks from now in January.

Sadly that’s the way it’s done these days.
The portal period puts everyone in untenable positions. Delay it so kids can play out their seasons and they won’t be able to transfer and get working with the team during winter break.
Do it early and they’re where they are now with a horrible decision to make.

But what do you do to fix it? There are glaring flaws with any system, especially if they’re trying to maintain the pretense that they actually care about academics.

Is there no such thing as tampering anymore? Our season ended less than 24 hours ago and already we know about offers? ( if this is valid)
I don’t know about a bidding war, but I think IU should be prepared to at least come close to offers out there.
They have agents. Teams can interact with their agents and never actually communicate with the player.
