Play Race

Nothing to lose, work Race back into the team slowly.

Could he get a medical redshirt too? Wasn't there thaymt guy from Iowa who was a redshirt and then got a medical redshirt so he was actually in the program for 6 years? I think this year is a wash, if we could get a medical hardship and still get another 4 years for Race, I would just keep him out of games at this point and look to next year.

My understanding of a medical redshirt is when a player is hurt or sick prior to reaching the midpoint of the season and is unable to play the rest of the year. If he is a full participant in practice, I don't know that he would qualify.

Yes - he could.

Race would have to play out his eligibility over the next 3 years and then could apply for a waiver for the 6th year. Doesn't happen often, but it has happened before.

Yeah, that is the guy I was thinking. Also, Evan Eschmeyer (spelling?) from Northwestern. I think he was another guy that got a 6th year IIRC.

Yeah whatever. Was going to put him in Sunday with 1:50 to go in 1st half but didn't. He has to protect his boy Justin. Maybe the seat is getting hot. I lost a lot of respect for Archie Sunday. He flat out blew that game to a team we have much more talent then.

Sounds like Miller may use Race today.

Rutgers
NW
OSU
Nebraska

We had no business losing those. Had we won, the NIT would have been worse case scenario with the NCAAT being a strong likelihood.
