Phil Robertson has passed on to his heavenly reward.

I just going to quote this.

I made moonshine in college on a dry campus. I've made homemade wine.

I am in no way proud of this but I've spent time in jail in a dozen states on alcohol related charges
Regular Dozen or a bakers dozen?

No it isn't important but, I'm becoming my parents I guess. So I had to ask.

Because of His selflessness. Salvation is a gift that can't be earned but only received.
OK, but that’s not what’s happening if you let an innocent human being take over your life sentence for whatever heinous crime you were convicted for, that just your selfishness.

But do you have a neck beard? That's really the key here.

Like this guy,

Or this guy who at least got his face on a beer bottle,

but none of them figured out to monetize the trend quite like ol' Phil.

RIP Duck Daddy.

Don't you understand that this is what Jesus did? He took your sin and my sin so we don't have to go to Hell for all eternity. It is why it is imperative to believe on Him for the salvation He purchased with His blood.

@Aloha Hoosier it’s very simple, see? Christianity peddlers create a scenario where you’ve already “lost” simply by being born - and the only way to “win” is to go their way. Makes a ton of sense.

Plus, you can **** up as many times and no matter how egregious the **** up - you can go their way and be redeemed! It’s genius!

Of course I understand that. You don’t understand that Jesus act was selfless, you in your scenario are selfish if you allowed any innocent human to take your place.

I've prayed for you.

That little voice......you'll hear it.

If you enjoy happy, even joyous people, who smile and share and are concerned with others, find a church where you are comfortable.

Even as Salvation is the goal, one's daily life gets so much better.....so much better.

He's asking....He's at your front door...

Let him in....

As believers we are not asking you to go our way. We are asking for you to consider the one who died for you. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He was the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. People show they are lost because they reject the premise they are lost. Why is this? It's because they don't see their sin as grievous as God does. So in essence they don't see themselves as sinners in need of mercy. It's why Christ's Cross doesn't make sense to them. Now why do we need Jesus? It's because He died for our sins. Why did He do that? It's because He had to. None of us can be saved if we don't have the sin guilt that we have produced to be removed, washed away, or forgiven. We have to go through Christ because He is the Savior and we need a Savior because we are the ones who are guilty before the Father.

Were the wives on the Titanic selfish because their husbands on purpose stayed behind knowing they would die?
You’re comparing yourself, a heinous criminal with a life sentence in your scenario, to innocent women on the Titanic, and comparing their husbands doing something for their wives and families, to some very naive stranger doing something for no ultimate good in your scenario. What you do in your scenario is just selfish and only for your benefit, what those women did was agonizing and tragic, but done for the good of their families. No matter how you try to turn your actions in your scenario into something good, it’s really nothing but selfishness. It’s not going to get you closer to heaven.

Mas, you seem to think that you’re an example of a good, devout Christian. How?
