No shit? You can get cash for boozing too much?

Only in America. Where any lack of impulse control and discipline is now a disorder.

If he's as good as a couple of other military functioning alcoholics that immediately come to mind, U.S. Grant and Chesty Puller, I'm willing to overlook that particular social shortcoming...

As long as his staff can keep him upright for the next four years then we're on to something good...

Edit: Forgot Pappy Boyington

Besides..., if he were perfect what would the Left have to whine about...?

I’ve known people who were legitimately disabled by alchoholism.

Justice. Full back pay.

Hopefully most come back.
Doubt they will.

Shattered trust and respect are difficult to piece back together.

Look at the OathKeepers.
These people were almost entirely former and active military, police, EMT, and other uniformed first responders who were vilified and labeled as traitorous, despite their experience and ethos.

You think they, like the active duty people will ever trust the Federal institutions who caused this disaster?

They're not stupid.

Did the Oathkeepers trust the govt before this? Wasn't their distrust a principal reason for their very existence?

A draft dodger and a drunk raking a real American hero across the coals. In the next 4 years we can hope someone in the military protects this country against Trump's worst instincts.

Milley, Mattis, McMaster, Kelly, Bolton and others have all told you he is unfit.
It’s primarily the judiciary that will need to provide the guardrails. The federal courts are going to be very busy into 2029. Some of his shit will go all the way up. Hopefully Roberts and Barrett come through more often than not.
