It was Hegseth

I'm going to make you all feel bad. I played it on Christmas Eve, 1991 for $50! The fees were about $300 at the time, but they don't sell all the tee times during the holiday season, so they give some of them to people that work there to use or sell. A friend of mine had a buddy that worked in the pro shop and the buddy offered a tee time for four to him for $200. The friend called me and two other of our friends and asked us to play for $50 each. Of course, we jumped all over it. My wife was pregnant and due early January, so I told her to call the pro shop if she went into labor and I'd be there soon as we finished the round! ;) Our daughter was born on New Year's Eve.

It wasn't windy that day and I had only been playing golf for a year, and I ended up shooting an 89 which was a great score for me at that point.

I hear the greens fees are $700 now and you have to stay at the Inn. Another buddy of mine told me it cost him $1000 bucks all together to play a round there. It's a bucket list course and I've played it.
Fantastic!! We tried twice and had no luck. My buddy (edibles guy) was living in Pleasanton.

Won’t happen now. I quit golf. I’m too shitty

If you want to know who added the reporter and didn't really bother with operational security, we have the answer.

This would be just LOL top to bottom if it weren't so serious.

Money shot:

According to the Times, Hegseth used his private phone, rather than a government device, to access the Signal chat with his family and friends.
CNN reported later on Sunday that three sources familiar with Hegseth’s private Signal group confirmed to the broadcaster that he had used it to share Yemen attack plans before the strikes were launched.
A person familiar with the contents and those who received the messages, confirmed the second chat to the Associated Press ands said that it included 13 people.
Wrong. The culprits are being fired.

Wrong. The culprits are being fired.

The real culprit is Pete Hegseth who put classified strike mission information into the Signal chats. He compounded that irresponsible (and illegal) act by continually lying about whether it was classified. DoD personnel know he's lying. He wasn't well respected to begin with, and he's lost that little bit of respect for him as a person and he'll never get it back.

I'm curious as to why he wasn't well-respected to begin with. My understanding is that he was an officer in the National Guard who separated and went to a TV gig. Was there something that went on during his service that caused people to lose respect?

He was only a junior officer and has no experience or qualifications that make him a good fit as a SecDef. He's SecDef only because he's a Trump loyalist and the Republicans in the Senate rolled over and approved him for the President. He'd never be confirmed in any other administration. The President had some good nominees, but Hegseth wasn't one of them. I'm sticking with my prediction that he'll be the first Cabinet member to leave the administration either by resignation or firing.

How long until Pete? A month?
It takes a little heat off Hegseth. Many people don't really understand the issues with Signal-gate. Many think the only screw-up was accidentally inviting Goldberg into the chat - not even understanding that Signal is not an appropriate forum for that sort of chat. Many don't even realize that the biggest screw-up was Hegseth sharing classified strike mission information. It was not just a screw-up, it was illegal, and Hegseth knows it's illegal and that's partly why he continues to lie when he says it wasn't classified. In fact, every single person in the administration that claims that information wasn't classified is lying or ignorant - there are no other options on that. Anyway, some portion of the population will think this is the end of it because Waltz resigned. It's not, but that's what they'll think.

My guess is that Hegseth will screw up again and that'll be the third strike which causes him to resign and/or be fired.

Gold standard.

dbm...

Do these sound the same to you?

A) Low to middling staffers using it to share non-confidential info, such as the catering menu for the dinner tonight;

and

B) Cabinet members using it to share highly confidential battle plans

If Trump replaces Pete, he will replace him with someone else from Fox!

Why would those who aren't supposed to be privy to classified information believe the information posted on a unclassified site?

The Trump administration has discovered a new way to confuse our enemies. Our enemies can no longer believe anything the administration says publicly or privately.

The best part from the Trump administration's standpoint is the voters will not know what to believe either and must just rely on blind faith.
