I'm going to make you all feel bad. I played it on Christmas Eve, 1991 for $50! The fees were about $300 at the time, but they don't sell all the tee times during the holiday season, so they give some of them to people that work there to use or sell. A friend of mine had a buddy that worked in the pro shop and the buddy offered a tee time for four to him for $200. The friend called me and two other of our friends and asked us to play for $50 each. Of course, we jumped all over it. My wife was pregnant and due early January, so I told her to call the pro shop if she went into labor and I'd be there soon as we finished the round! Our daughter was born on New Year's Eve.

It wasn't windy that day and I had only been playing golf for a year, and I ended up shooting an 89 which was a great score for me at that point.

I hear the greens fees are $700 now and you have to stay at the Inn. Another buddy of mine told me it cost him $1000 bucks all together to play a round there. It's a bucket list course and I've played it.

The real culprit is Pete Hegseth who put classified strike mission information into the Signal chats. He compounded that irresponsible (and illegal) act by continually lying about whether it was classified. DoD personnel know he's lying. He wasn't well respected to begin with, and he's lost that little bit of respect for him as a person and he'll never get it back.

I'm curious as to why he wasn't well-respected to begin with. My understanding is that he was an officer in the National Guard who separated and went to a TV gig. Was there something that went on during his service that caused people to lose respect?

He was only a junior officer and has no experience or qualifications that make him a good fit as a SecDef. He's SecDef only because he's a Trump loyalist and the Republicans in the Senate rolled over and approved him for the President. He'd never be confirmed in any other administration. The President had some good nominees, but Hegseth wasn't one of them. I'm sticking with my prediction that he'll be the first Cabinet member to leave the administration either by resignation or firing.
