And Denmark "should give it back" (?) because "we need it for national security reasons".

And his idiot kid is there today (in Greenland) telling the locals "we will treat you well!" lol

I can see it now - 60,000,000 Americans in their red hats all hot and heavy over ****ing Greenland.

My god.

Leif Erickson was actually Norwegian… but Danish King Harald (Bluetooth) was King of all Scandinavia for a while.

Denmark’s claim wasn’t backed like the Pope’s line of demarcation that gave Portugal Brazil and points East and gave Spain points west. Latin America was created by conquest thereafter.

President Truman offered to buy the island for $100 million but was rejected by Denmark and Greenland. So this is not the first time and is actually a good idea. It's full of Lithium.

I remember when people were complaining about not being able to buy eggs, so the next logical step is to take over another country and go even more into debt.

Definitely checks out.

My crystal ball tells me that in the lifetimes of many on this board, there will be an EU-type alliance among the United Stares, Canada, and Greenland. Trump sees that coming. Neither he nor I will live ing enough to see it done, but the opening move has been made.

@The Original Happy Goat, curious about your Hickory/Mark style laughing emogi. I don’t think there is much doubt about the stronger alliance among USA, Canada, and Greenland. Events beyond our control are forcing the issue. But I’m willing to consider a serious counterpoint if you hold a different view of the future of the Arctic.

Nothing illustrates the abominable childishness that is Trumpism better than the fact that this journalist politely reduced "Arthur's" response to:

A spokesperson for Trump Jr denied the claims, describing them as “beyond the pale ridiculous”

And "Arthur," unsatisfied with this, leaked his own idiocy for all the world to see.

Edit:

Very end of article, she adds a bit, but still cleans it up for Arthur's sake, but he couldn't help himself...

In response to the Guardian’s request for comment about Trump Jr’s lunch guests, Arthur Schwartz, a political operative and friend of the president-elect’s son, said: “Do you think Donald Trump Jr was wandering around Greenland inviting homeless people… to lunch, or do you realise that the suggestion sounds so beyond the pale ridiculous that you should feel stupid even asking the question?”
He added: “There were cameras following him around from the second he got there to the second he left. Did they miss him recruiting homeless people… to his homeless person… lunch?”
