It will be very interesting to see what the future holds for Michael Penix. No doubt that if physically healthy and mentally confident, he is an elite talent, even with an average O line and receivers. Sadly, the last 3 seasons have been very unlucky for him
Seems like MPs future has many options.
Does he want to stay at IU in 2022? If so, can he win the starting QB job? Privately, has Allen concluded it is too much risk to keep hoping MP can remain healthy, and it is best to move ahead with another QB?
Does he want to transfer? If so, what demand will there be for him given his propensity for getting injured?
Does he sit out a year, get healthy, strengthen is body and target a return in 2023 with IU or another school?
Is football even still in his future?
In my 46 years of following IU football, MP had the most raw talent and by far the strongest passing arm I can recall. Really hoping all the best for him whatever course he chooses.
