Achilles rupture. Wonder if this changes going all in on turner? I bet it does. Why pay luxury tax with no Halliburton next year.
Good point. I’m guessing they had already decided they would which likely factored into them trading away this year’s (‘25) first round pick a few days ago.

That was certainly their plan, but Haliburton wasn't hurt when they made that move. Now that Haliburton is hurt, there may be logic in holding off on signing Turner. I'd say it's more likely they sign him than not but there is a discussion to be had now. Luxury tax is no joke and you only get a couple years of that before you need to tear the whole thing down.

Well the 26 draft is supposedly strong too and they could be in the lottery if they decide to retool for 2026-27. Mavs and Hawks were the last 2 lotto winners and they had just 1.8 % chance. Does Brogdon return to provide PG depth?

What happen with Turner? Being a FA, guess you cannot deal him on draft day. Can't let him walk for nothing so find a good S&T or pay him for a trade deadline deal if the team is struggling badly without Hali.

I don't think it be hard to acquire a pick. Nets certainly don't want to use all 4 of those picks they own. I wouldn't trade the 2026 pick but they'd probably defer one of the 19, 26, 27 picks for a future 1st. Charlotte has 2 high 2nd round picks. Nembhard's bro is pretty good but his draft stock is low due to his size. He'd probably be a 1s round pick if he was 6'4 or 6'5 like his older brother.
