Have noticed he has not played for the last couple of weeks.

They picked up Post and now he's behind him and even Looney. Not sure why but he's now buried on the bench. He struggled a few games before he was benched but the leash seemed pretty short. Post can shoot 3s and spreads the floor although I think TJD much better defender and rebounder. He went from a great situation to nothing. i dunno.

Butler trade made an impact...as did Post's emergence. Only so many main rotation minutes to go around...

Goes to show how fine that line is for guys like TJD having a prominent main rotation role...and never sniffing the floor.

He was a focal point in the Warriors' local commercials and was discussed on local sports talk, now they're not really talking about him. From hero to zero. Sucks.

Not really... Neither of the guys that are mostly impacting him, right now, are recent first rounders. Butler is obviously better in many ways, and Post is a completely different kind of player.

Not saying it never plays a role in other cases...hot shot first rounders, or higher paid free agents, probably do get some extra leeway. But I don't think either qualifies for that here. Butler is a higher paid free agent/trade guy...but he's Jimmy Butler........

There are also many counter examples to that as well...Shepherd spending much of this season not playing, even in the GLeague, despite him being a top 5 pick, as an example.
