I would literally bet my life it won't be Pitino, Cal, or Program Killer.Beard, Pitino, or Sampson would be great but Calipari would be like waking up in basketball Hell.

If you’re referring to McCollum, I suspect the outside world would reaction would be a combination of lauding the hire…and a fair bit of Uh ohs, that dude is gonna have IUs resources at his disposal??We’ve be so inept for so long, what our administration deserves is for Woodson to make the final four, then hire a D2 coach, while the outside world burns us to death but we celebrate. !?!?!?!
Yeah, these last three wins have the dumb IU fans drinkin the kool aid. This is what I was worried about a month ago when I said those type fans were so happy to see IU end the conference season the way they did last year, would want another year of this. They would get all excited and live in the moment and celebrate limping into Dayton.Because they beat PSu and Washington? Lol
If Dolson allows that to happen, He will lose all credibility with everyone - Potential Coaching Candidates, Fan Base, and Players. It will look like Someone overrode his decisions and took away his authority, or that some of the Deep Pocket Donors got to Him and took over. Who wants to negotiate or deal with Someone whose Word is questionable.I’m hearing that rumors about consideration being given to reevaluating CMW’s retirement and bringing him back next year have “legs”. Surely, this is complete and utter bullshit, right? Obviously, it goes without saying that this would be devastating for the fanbase, recruiting, and just the program in general. Can someone out there truly in the know give me some reassurance here? For my sanity?
yeah hard for me to detect it around here anymore.Sarcasm detector off?
But making $1MM a year for nothing has its upsides while reminiscing how sweet it was to show Matta and Fife who was boss.In 3 weeks Woodson will be hanging out at his man cave drinking wine and smoking cigars , while telling his cronies how great he could’ve been if he had one more year.
I think it’s boredom rather than kool aid.Yeah, these last three wins have the dumb IU fans drinkin the kool aid. This has to end, and thankfully it is. IU needs to get back to being serious again and hopefully that begins when the new coach is hired.
Yep, if someone overrules him and gives Woodson more time, then Dolson has no choice but to resign or lose all credibility and self respect. If Dolson allows that to happen, He will lose all credibility with everyone - Potential Coaching Candidates, Fan Base, and Players. He did the same thing last year and then lost to nebraska by 30 in the btt. My guess is history will repeat itself.Woodson was let go due to his 4 years body of work. A 3 week fun run won’t and shouldn’t change that.

I am guessing this will be a non issue since the best he can finish in 10-10. Wondering where the we are headed to the elite 8 crowd is today? They were pounding their chests after the wins over powerhouses washington and penn state.I’m hearing that rumors about consideration being given to reevaluating CMW’s retirement and bringing him back next year have “legs”. The city is planning on making it a shrineI know his real estate agent and she told he took his house off the market 3 days ago.

I think if woodson beats ohio state the elite 8 is back on!The city is planning on making it a shrine
I meant shrine circusAhhhh. That makes sense.
They were talking elite 8 up until today. Trust me those fans would be happy if woodson came back. These are also the same people who last summer were claiming that rice and carlye were going to be the best backcourt in he conference. The levels of kooi aid was off the charts.Yeah, these last three wins have the dumb IU fans drinkin the kool aid. Oh I know it. I know 3 or 4 personally. And these are IU fans since the 70s, 80s and 90s. .They were talking elite 8 up until today. Trust me those fans would be happy if woodson came back. They were saying the same thing last year after that little winning streak towards the end vs bad teams. Then woodson proceeded to get crushed by Nebraska by like 30.Oh I know it. I know 3 or 4 personally. And these are IU fans since the 70s, 80s and 90s. .
Yep. Can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube. Woodson was fired (in a nice way). The separation would already be signed. Dolson and Pam certainly don’t want to risk being put into the same position next year or the year after. It’s a no brainer. The search is in full gear.I am guessing this will be a non issue since the best he can finish in 10-10. Wondering where the we are headed to the elite 8 crowd is today? I knew after that win streak it would set us back another 12 months and why i was so worried about the same thing happening again. Now that we know he wont return, I want to win like crazy again. They were saying the same thing last year after that little winning streak towards the end vs bad teams. The problem is the expectations are so darn low look how woodson is celebrated by some because he won a few games and may go 10-10( with six million dollars). Then we are talking elite 8 because we beat Washington. This is not a serious program in the least and I only hope it can be with a new coachI knew after that win streak it would set us back another 12 months and why i was so worried about the same thing happening again.
