I thought of this one. Instead of kicking the field goal on 4th down OSU runs a play. The QB is instructed to roll out, if anyone prsssures, go down and protect the ball. If You get outside the tackle box, throw the ball as high as You can toward the end line and into the stands. If You are outside the tackle box. they can't call Intentional Grounding. If the ball is between the sidelines and over the playing field, the Officials can't call the Play Dead until the ball lands in the stands. If You can throw the ball high enough and put enough arc on it, You could kill 7 or 8 seconds on the clock.Not a bad strategy as long as the returner catches the ball and ends up taking it out of the endzone. The problem would be if time didn't run out then you have to kick from the twenty giving the opponent good field position.
