He is headed to Louisville so he will not be the coach at IU anytime soon.
What foresight by OSU. Jake Diebler has never lost a first round NCAA tournament game as a head coach.
This is who so many wanted? Never was onboard with this. And he had the officials the whole game. Looked like he got some coaching imput from woodrow.
eh...I think Dusty May is still a good coach. Some of the best coaches ever have a first round NCAA tournament loss on their record. Some power 5 program is going to be lucky to snatch him up.
Glad it aint us. He was left in the dust today. Im no woodrow fan but if it was IU and him today can you imagine this sight now?
If it were May's first year immediately following the Woodson era, being an 8 seed in the NCAA tournament and losing a close game in the first round would be considered a good stepping stone.
Chris Collins should be at Duke ovef Scheyer. But glad he isnt.

I think he was 9 for 10 before he missed that FT, but you’re right FAU had their chances. Btw, he’s only a 65% FT shooter.
No, but I can take a guess: Scheyer was on his staff more recently and was generally credited with getting many of the top Duke recruits over the last several years. Collins has built up NW, but at the time K took over, Duke wasn't much above where NW was. Rightly or wrongly Collins needed to have NW on an even higher plane to ever have been considered for the Duke job.
Michigan $$$$ primarily goes to football. I don't think they'd pay Cal what he wants or pay for the players he wants.

Per sources: Dusty May intends to accept the job at the University of Louisville. If FAU fails to make the Sweet 16 the announcement will be official from the two parties by Tuesday.

Did you just pull a randos twitter that @'d one (?) legit reporter to confirm Dusty is gone? It might be true but maybe we should hold off on posting tweets like this until someone more reputable confirms it; that isn't to say this isn't the most likely scenario.
Then again, it's par for the course for how most people on this forum use twitter. so I guess have at 'er.

Nope. May built a program that hadnt tasted success. Archie was actually worse than his predecessor his first couple years at Dayton. Big difference there, certainly in recruiting. Dayton was a bball school.
I think May is solid, but I also believe he'd continue the downward run for IU. Archie struggled at IU. I still think he gets 4-5 years at Rhode Island and will turn it around there.
