1) The IU contingent was small but fired up.
2) PSU didn’t fill up Beaver Stadium. Student section probably at 85% at highest with dropping to maybe 70% after halftime. Upper deck on south end zone was pretty sparse and there were two sections in the south corners that were basically empty.
3) They don’t do a lot of the promotional gimmicks during timeouts or have a hype guy, but the fans know their jobs. They got LOUD when needed, but were pretty quiet a lot of the game, for obvious reasons.
4) Almost all of their fans stayed until the safety. Compare that to Memorial Stadium emptying out against Akron and Rutgers during competitive games at half/end. They weren’t disgusted to the point of leaving in having to claw out a win against a team they were 5 TD favorites against.
