Delicious.

Those are tears of joy my man. The good guys won. May the pain of losing & repudiation of your beliefs on a national level be a constant reminder of your poor judgement.😎

I don't watch tucker. We've given them close to 200B in aid and assistance. I'd hope they could put up some kind of fight with supposedly the greatest military tech on earth.

Looks to me they are slowly getting spit up and chewed out. I appreciate their tenacity and spirit but they will eventually be ground down.
Ukraine occupies Russian territory. They're not being ground down. Russia is losing 40k-50k per month, according to Intel. Their interest rates are well over 20%. The Ruble has collapsed. Inflation is way up. There is a labor shortage. They are having to bring in troops from other countries. Etc., etc.

And Ukraine is NOT getting the latest technology from us. And the high tech weapons they are getting, they aren't being allowed to use against Russia proper.

Putin does not want to conscript the muscovites. As I understand life continues as normal for Russians in Moscow and St Petersburg. Otoh I believe Ukraine is completely out of men. Maybe my understanding is wrong.

I think you underestimate the Russians tolerance for pain and suffering.

Absolutly not. I think the candidate should be able to go before the Senate and have a hearing and answer the charges directly. If they decide to withdraw, that's on them, but to run people off with charges and innuendo from anonymous sources is wrong.

Let these supposed Republican Senators - unnamed, by the way - who claim they don't support Hegseth and Gabbard go on record and vote against their nominations. Let them benefit or suffer the political consequences.

Don't you want a public hearing?
Yes. Public. If they can't handle the heat they get it's probably because of a fire they created. If they can then they will most likely get confirmed. Some folks will get more or less confirmation votes than others.

If it's unfair media that bothers you then don't listen to it. They don't get to vote anyway.

FBI has little credibility left. Them’s the facts.
The FBI that tracked down the Iranian plot to assassinate Trump? The one led by a Republican and is probably the most Republican dominated organization in the federal government other than the than the DoD/military?

Absolutely. We can't set a precedent that these nominations to be cut off at the knees by anonymous allegations and supposed cadres of Senators who say behind closed doors that a candidate "doesn't have the votes".

Give them a hearing and a vote. If they don't pass, so be it. The Senators will have to potentially deal with a primary challenger backed by MAGA and Musk's Super Pac. That's how it should be.

This isn't to say I fully support every Trump nominee and don't think there are better options in some cases. But they're not my nominations to make and they're not Lindsey Graham's or Lisa Murkowski's.

It’s far from unprecedented that nominees withdraw their nominations when their closet skeletons come to light or they realize they have skeletons that will come to light.

About two thirds of the Senators don’t have to run for election for four or six years. Fear of Trump politically likely doesn’t exist for them.

The "skeletons" I've seen so far have been fairly lackluster. Nothing that should preclude a hearing.

They need to do the background check as is the norm for the confirmation process. If Hegseth drops out it’s a strong sign that he knows his skeletons are real.

I always find it funny that people who throw stones most always live in glass houses. Perfection is a hard thing to come by I hope there are still plenty of those types in Washington. :)

most politicians have zero experience with "intelligence"

or common sense

she's a woman of color, a vet and can speak in complete coherent sentences

give her a shot.....how bad could it be
If she was on the Intelligence Committee she’d have some, but she wasn’t, and has none.

She is fairly easy on the eyes though.
