Not so fast my friend--#DoNotConcedeKamala

Trump lovers have told us we can’t take what he says seriously.
It's all exhausting. And I never got my Trump decoder ring in the mail, so when he said he's going to attack the 'enemy within', deport 20 million people or any number of crazy things he said in the last several months, I believed him.

I believe the saying is that Trump followers take him seriously, but not literally. His opponents take him literally but not seriously. At least that was what was said in 2016.

So, when are we suppose to take him seriously?

Biden ands Harris are still in office or whoever is running the country.

That is the joke. I have pointed out that the US is pumping record amounts of oil, and have been told that is all due to Trump because it takes a long time for policies to make a difference. So we should not see a price change based on Trump until the next president.

When he talks about something consistently over a period of time. Like immigration, trade deficits, tax policy, Ukraine, Israel.

Stop focusing on his exact wording, because he doesn't spend time parsing it, like other politicians. He speaks off the cuff, is undisciplined, and wings it far too often. Instead, look at the underlying policy he is trying to advance.

Just my two cents. But I think you'll find it more predictive of what he will try to make happen than what you might hear from MSNBC, CNN, etc.

There is a decent amount of speculation in oil prices. Biden gave them reason to speculate poorly about the future of fossil fuels.

Silly me for thinking we should take things our politicians say at their word and not having to be told what they actually meant to say.

Before anyone gets on me, that goes for both sides.

Humor is lost on the left’s endless efforts to be woke

You and Ohio still don’t get it
I thought it was hilarious that none of those words were pronouns.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with the whole 'efforts to be woke' thing.

Well true. But now we're parsing possessive pronouns vs. possessive adjectives which, believe me, is a shit ton better than talking about the election.
Shouldn’t there be a hyphen between shit and ton?

Only one person in US history has threatened the peaceful transfer of power.
Yep. In 1800, armed Jefferson supporters were headed for the Capitol to “have their way” if Jefferson was not certified as the Prez.

He was, and the 12th Amendment was passed to avoid future ties and futures militia marches.

Is that what you were talking about?

I voted for Trump because of the people he surrounded himself with. Like/Dislike/agree/disagree, the Vance/Tulsi/RFK/Vivek team are all well spoken, diverse and intelligent people. They are the new Republican Party.

Harris and Walz not so much. Time to move on. The Dems manufactured the the hate of Trump for a decade now. They need to move away from their MSM propaganda machine and dial down the racist, Nazi, Democracy is at risk crap and get back to politics. All that has done is create riots and violnce. I think america saw thru it all whether they like Trump or not. MSM should start to die off as there are better ways to get information and judge candidates. Hollywood, Talks show hosts and made for TV debate are not really useful. It's all a phony stuff.

I'd watch Harris' concession speech but I'll spare myself the nausea. I even wonder if the Dems just annointed her the candidate to get rid of her for 2028 and reset. Worst case they win in 2024 based on the Hate Trump platform and have to figure out way to get rid of her later.

Bring on Project 2025!!!!! ☠️

I don't like his hyperbole, off the cuff nature, and winging it. It's a huge problem for him.

That is, I'm explaining what he's doing, not justifying it.

Lordy. They threatened to cause a ruckus, but they didn't. They were responding to threats on the other side, which also didn't happen.

Hamilton's support famously broke the Burr-Jefferson tie. Then on inauguration day (March 4, 1801), John Adams (after staying up all night signing the appointments of Federal judges as the lame duck Federalist Congress approved them) quietly got into his carriage and began his journey back to Massachusetts. He choose not to contest the inauguration of Jefferson, convinced Burr and his supporters of the same, and refused the advice of some in his party to attempt to block it with federal troops or marshals, which had prompted Jefferson's supporters to pledge to cause a ruckus in opposition.

Jefferson was inaugurated. He then decided to not seek retribution against the Federalists for plotting to kneecap his inauguration. In his inaugural address, Jefferson famously proclaimed, “We are all Federalists; we are all Republicans.”

The 12th amendment established that electoral votes for President and Vice President be counted separately. The founding fathers hadn't imagined the problems of the original setup.

But there was no violence intended to stop a transfer of power. That would come on Jan 6, 2021.

I love them too. I work around them. Good hard working people who give 2-sh!ts about some dude who thinks he’s a chick swimming in the Olympics. They do care about putting food on the table, having a job, being left alone. They also don’t like being told to care. These poorly educated people are Black, white, Hispanic. Some are even gay. Guess what? They could see the cnn, view bullshit clearer than your own. Keep saying these things…the MAGA benefits from it. Nice job killing the party of inclusion.

You might have a point if January 6 didn’t happen.
Jan 6 happened because dems wanted it to happen. The same reason why they won't talk about the bomb outside DNC headquarters that day. They planted it,but then realized they didn't need it,but are still too stupid to keep it a secret.
