New turf

I stopped by stadium today and new turf was going down. Looked to be same as before. Font in end zone might be different but I couldn’t really tell at field level. Friend of mine at Foundation said they are putting company name in turf as part of naming rights but haven’t announced company yet. I wish I had taken pictures.

Hopefully the end zones and logos aren't dull/faded any more.

The yard number font is the same (Hoosier bold) as the numbers on the uniforms. Which leads me to believe that the end zones will be Hoosier bold as well. There are small IU logos at the 35 yard lines as well. Looks much brighter.

To be fair, the endzone paint has been 10x better the past few years. The Lynch years were really rough with the pink HOOSIERS look.

I just hope they get the State outline "logo" properly aligned with the side by side yard lines this time around (and I don't care about a perfect rendition of the state boundaries, I care about the good looks of the field).

If they can't get that straight they should just leave it off...

Not bad. I would have gotten rid of the state outline and just made the IU logo 3-4 times bigger.

That's a key change that I really like!

That should really help our guys know where they are in relation to needed yardage on both sides of the ball... It helps the bad guys too but I'll bet on our better coaching and more practice time seeing it to give us the competitive edge with it... Might even give us a very slight bit of a home field advantage for our guys (who will have practiced at least a little bit on that field)... //Hopefully, they've designed at least one of our practice fields to mirror that...//

Has it ever been announced what exactly is included in the enhanced fan experience? If so, I can’t remember. Whatever it is that Cig wants, I hope we make it happen as soon as possible. I thought the experience last year was awesome, but winning every game probably covered up some flaws. 😉

I think that’s referencing all the new concessions that started last year, plus whatever else was done when that happened (more bathrooms, faster entry, I can’t remember…).
