Yep, we lost him. Now wtf do we do? We lose our two best players. Hopefully hunter comes back fully healthy. The two guys we have coming in are good but they’ll be freshmen. It could be another long year? I’m hoping not and I still really like Archie. Crean left us in such a mess!

We are going to be so awful next year. You think this season has been ugly? Just wait. Archie should start looking for another job now, as should Fred.
What does that have to do with it? He lives in Indiana and has been to IU so he makes return trips to Kentucky or MSU. He just might want to see them one more time to make sure IU is the place he wants to be.
He’s a one and done player anyways so what’s the big deal. I want high four stars and low fives that want to be at Indiana for three to four years.
How many high 4 stars and 5 stars stick around for more than a year or two? I would think that most test the NBA waters within a couple years?
Most of the UNC players stay 3 to 4 years and were all 4 and 5 star players. Also remember Romeo canceled a visit to IU and still chose us so it is not over yet. I also think TJD visited other schools right before choosing IU as well

You can’t win when you bring in one player that is a one and done. It just screws up players getting use to each other. It depends on what those players are playing for. I hope TJD stays three years.

Who cares about brooks he is one and done. We need 3 and 4 year players like virginia and wisconsin. We need a culture and not one and dones. Not sure what the big deal is.

IU needs to look for Happ type of players anyway and good shooters with toughness[Tom Coverdale types].
There just isn't a lot of roster room to make recruiting mistakes, regardless of the players star rankings. Our team has some tough decisions upcoming on how these future roster spots are going to be filled. Hopefully we will get some players who can get this ship turned around. For the record, I also want a Aj Moye/Tom Coverdale type of player.

I just have followed recruiting for 15 years and I know when a kid releases a final 6 schools. Then we get close to decision time and he schedules impromptu visits to only 2 of the schools in his final 6, he is most likely going to one of those two schools

Keion if you read this we want you and every in state top talented player representing Indiana University. We do need the experience and leadership that the 3 and 4 year players have. We also can’t turn down the one and dones that bring in talent.
Yes. We need two or three hard nosed guys who can shoot the f’ing ball. Happ’s may not be a shooter but he’s off the charts in all other areas and he’s surrounded by shooters. Remember when we had guys who could shoot it like Brian Evans, Ted Kitchell, Scottie May, Steve Green, Jimmy Rayl, Mike Woodson, Alan Henderson, Coverdale, Bailey, Alford, etc etc etc? It was a staple of IU basketball. Shooting was as much a part of the team identity as gritty defense. Where has it gone?

Well Romeo went to Vandy ad ten cancelled his visit to IU but where did he end up. TJD went to a MSU game and then committed to IU so it happens.
