Maybe he's got business to take care of and not entertaining a new job until the work is done?I'd bet McCollum gave IU the stiff arm, not the other way around.

It’s not a whiff, DeVries is a very good coach, he’s not an Archie or Woodson for sure, but perhaps McCollum might be better. Who knows? Time will tell, but IU did not hire a bad coach. WVU fans are livid because they know they lost a good one. This better not be the colossal freaking historic whiff it looks like right now…
Very possible IMO but just as likely Dolson went with “safe” vs taking a risk.I'd bet McCollum gave IU the stiff arm, not the other way around.
Dolson saw a few good games and after that he was locked in.Very possible IMO but just as likely Dolson went with “safe” vs taking a risk.

I’m mostly with ya. Hope McCollum lands anywhere but the B10.It’s not a whiff, DeVries is a very good coach, he’s not an Archie or Woodson for sure, but perhaps McCollum might be better. Who knows? Watch, he'll take over for Izzo in a few years and terrorize the B1G.I’m mostly with ya. Hope McCollum lands anywhere but the B10.
The plus to me (who very much hoped for McCollum) on DeVries is he does have a lot of D1 experience as an assistant under a couple of very good coaches. Then on his own has showed a lot of ability as head man.I think CDD has a higher floor but BM has a potentially higher ceiling. That said, I’m just feeling good that IU has hired a good up and coach with plenty of experience.
It’s very possible that both of them are very good/great. Time will tell. It’s not a whiff, DeVries is a very good coach, he’s not an Archie or Woodson for sure, but perhaps McCollum might be better. Shooters shoot..Utah St: Started 2-3 for 3PA.. Have gone 0-18 since.
Everyone is Steph Curry. Can’t imagine playing at the HPER now.Shooters shoot..
He definatelty was my #1 pick. He will produce Tony Bennett and Bo Ryan type regular seasons for years to come. Hopefully he kills it in March as well.. He IS a prodigy. What was the criteria for hiring Cig? The man wins, Google him. I just watched a bunch of D-2 players put on a clinic and whip somebody bigger.
I agree. BM was and still is who I would've gone all in on. Far from a gamble as one poster stated, considering BM has almost 3 times as much HC experience than CDD.He definatelty was my #1 pick. Devo cheated WVU. Tough to be a coach of two teams at the same time.
Cool. These WVU guys, who travelled with the team throughout the season, think you're an idiot.
Kansas vs. Arkansas was a tough one though. Nobody to like...Anyone else rooting against the SEC in every game? F***'em all.
Maybe he is but who knows. Bo Ryan could keep guys in a system for five years and develop team. McCullom will have to compete with the big boys in the portal each year if he gets a P5 job. One day we will see what he can do at a higher level but its highly unlikely he will be able to keep most of his team around for four or five years like Ryan did.He definatelty was my #1 pick.
