and forgot Gordon Hes has a solid career, what's crazy Knight didn't have near as many NBA players as we have had since him, but had 10x more success
Rumor make ng the rounds tonight is Jimmy Butler has some issue with Vic. Hard to know if true, but I was stunned he received no time in either game 1 or 2.
Gordon may have been a top 75 all time type of not for the injuries.
Oladipo should have stayed in Indiana. It was a gift wrapped perfect situation and instead he went for the money. His career will wind down without the accolades he could have had.

Disagree. Guy could score at all 3 levels, defend, and is strong. If healthy like he was in year 3 and 4, he was an all star level and would have been a career 22+ point scorer. Career was full of injuries.
I never understood all of the people who say that they love basketball but never watch the NBA. So... you like the game except when it's played by the very best players? That makes no sense. When you watch porn, you want the women to be highly skilled, right? Or do you prefer the clips where they have no idea what they are doing?

I don't think I've ever seen a clip of one not skilled at what they were doing. I mean, once they've progressed to porn movie's they have a pretty good idea of what it's all about. Thinking back here to the earliest days of exploration, even the inexperienced ones who fumbled around still did a pretty good job in the final outcome (pun intended), don't you think, "outside shooter"?
I almost NEVER watch the NBA. I don't like the 24 second shot clock. There is almost no working the ball. Everything has to be done so quickly. The beauty of bball that was played before the SC and even when it was 45 seconds in college was seeing a team work, 5 guys working for a good open shot. In the pros, so many times, it is a two man game and IMO, so many times, it boils down to who is most talented. Unfortunately college is going the same route. I have seen it referred to the "modern game". To me, it is not NEARLY as entertaining.

Celtics game was a good one last night. Amazing the turn around this yr, ppl were calling for the coaches head earlier in the season but they have been best team in NBA since first of the yr. 2 bench players got hot and pulled it out for the stars to finish it. How Ainge managed to trade the #1 pick to Philly and still get Tatum and Fultz went #1 No idea where he even is. I liked the 80s NBA better for certain but playoff basketball is a lot better just like baseball. NFL with a lot less games is more intense regular season for sure. Philly got really lucky last night. OG had another great game.
I do think a lot of the criticisms of the NBA are overblown, and/or based on a style that is no longer really played in the NBA, although I have never really personally gotten into the NBA despite periodically trying to do so.
I think my reservations are almost that I feel the players have surpassed the game. To me it would be like golf if the PGA played from the short tees, there was no rough, and all the greens were flat.
I probably watch 120 games in season.

the shooting compared to college is night and day, when IU shoots a 3 your surprised when it goes in, when a NBA player is left open your surprised if they miss
