I like Mike Hart, but just don’t know that he would be an exciting hire that would garner enthusiasm from the fanbase. He did a great job with our running backs and can probably do well as the head guy at a program like Michigan that by itself attracts good recruits, but I don’t recall that he tore up the recruiting trail while he was here. He did get a lot out of what we did get though. I think we need someone who can sell a turd, because Indiana is not easy to recruit to and we need a higher level of recruiting. Dmac may be a better choice between the two, but I’d root hard for Mike if he got it. Would he stay if the Michigan head job opens up though? I have a hard time seeing Mike staying long if he is successful as he doesn’t have strong ties to the program other than his brief coaching stint. Definitely feels like a risky hire either way.
