They did, but I think you misunderstand the terms. If they took the money, 1/4 the total pool (their own team) would be eliminated, except for the captain and the captain alone, who would get to stay and get the $1 million. But the other 3 teams would still be there. (Only the first person to hit the buzzer got the money).
Ohhhhh. All four couldn’t take the mil. I see

Paige and Craig broke up!
James charged with domestic violence!
Romance is dead.
WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!! THEY BROKE UP?!!!!!!! Honestly good. That dude is a baller. Did you know he passed the bar and opened a law firm?. In addition to down south sewing. He’s a catch. And he shouldn’t go back to to naomi either. She was horrible to him too!

Yikes I saw that re James. I bet it comes out he has addiction problems

He so obviously wanted to marry her and she never seemed interested. He seems like a bit of a goofball but that’s pretty impressive about the law firm. Yeah he can’t go back to Naomi. I’m sure he’ll meet someone new. Almost everyone on the show is single then…
Yeah James is a mess. Will be interesting to see the new cast.

Some of them from vpr are hopping over to the valley. I watched season one of the valley and it was excellent

The Bikeriders is an excellent film. Didn’t get enough hype.

Tom Hardy overacted at times but is still great. Jodie Comer with her shitty Chicago accent performed a masterclass.

It reminds me of a book I read when I was a kid called Lords of Lawndale. Gang culture is a reflection of our society. Gangs in the 50’s and 60’s are largely social outcast looking for community and acceptance. Little violent crime and a code of honor.

In subsequent decades they become almost feral.

So what’s everybody reading or watching? My new favorite tv show is Killing Eve. It’s about a female assassin, on BBC , starring Sandra Oh as the detective trying to catch her. Creepy good. I’m reading Killers of the Flower Moon, about the murders of Native Americans in Oseage County and the beginnings of the FBI. Just saw RBG, and was surprised at how gorgeous she was. Also had no idea she was involved in women’s issues since college and tried 6 cases at Supreme Court, winning 5 of them. What’s everyone else enjoying?
If you can stream old movies, I recommend a 1981 flick titled 'High Risk'...4 HS buddies concoct a scheme to trip down to Colombia to rip off a drug dealer.
James Brolin, Anthony Quinn, Earnest Borgnine, Cleavon Little, James Coburn and others.

Worth an hour and a half and that Gummi you been holding

Conclave.

I have no idea why this is getting the good press it's getting.
I hate to say it, but imo 90% of it is due to the twist strictly for what it’s saying, not as a device or function of the movie. Ralph Fiennes & Stanley Tucci are great (as they are in everything they appear in), but the movie, meh.

Slow, plodding, lame, contrived. I called the end and the twist at the very end way ahead of time, and I'm not that imaginative.
