I watched half of that movie and that was enough. I’ll give it four burning crosses

Yep 100% my experience. My son played the game but didn't tell me what was going to happen. Still shocked by it. Pascal was the main reason I watched (although I loved the scenery of Jackson). Not sure I really care about a brutal revenge story set in an apocalyptic time. Saw that for years on the Walking

Spoiler::: That
Seemed more like a finale than the second episode. The banter between Pablo and Elly has been the best part.

The Last of Us………. what a disaster.

A lesbian love story with zombies. Barf.

I’m out.

Bella Ramsey was a great ancillary character in GOT. She cannot carry this show.

I saw author Fredrik Backman last night promoting his new book, My Friends. He was charming and funny. If you haven’t read Beartown, I think many of you would like it. He’s best known for A Man Called Ove, which he published when he was only 30 years old. It was made into the Tom Hanks movie A Man Called Otto. He’s a Swedish author.

It's meh. The plot this season with a war between a religious cult and the WLF could be interesting, we'll see. The revenge arc is overdone.

I thought last night was ok. Last season each episode was really emotional, but so far the only one that has been was episode two.

So I am a bit of a Star Wars nerd, but Andor was excellent. If some of the recent Disney offerings turned you off from the franchise, do yourself a favor and check that show out. If you aren't a big fan, it still stands on its own. Both seasons are now fully available and it has action but it is more a character driven spy thriller.

Huh. Never would have guessed you were a Star Wars guy.

I really liked the first season. Problem I have is that I have no recollection of what happened and would need to rewatch season 1 before doing season 2. It’s the same problem I have with Dune 2. Yes, I’m old.

I have that problem episode to episode on most shows.

Bella Ramsey is maybe the least sympathetic main character I’ve ever watched.

She seemingly has nothing redeemable about her other than being a lesbian?

I will not be watching anymore.

Fallout is coming back in the Fall. Ella Purnell is an actual lead actress who is awesome.

I’ve seen it advertised. Love Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren’s work.

Was excited to try it until you endorsed it. And now I know it sucks.
It really is excellent. And Pierce Brosnan as a bad dude is outstanding. Tom Hardy, though, makes this show. Best thing I’ve seen in a long time. Just waiting on Landman and Tulsa King.

FallOut is excellent.

Tonight's episode of Last Of Us was great. Joel is in the whole thing. Flashbacks. Dumb decision what they did. Pedro Pascal is that show.

Yes. Just happenstance. We seem to have exhausted anything worthwhile on Netflix, Apple and Prime video.
They have it all in a rotation. As soon you subscribe for the year on Paramount, Netflix will drop something that you can't live without and you'll have to subscribe to it. Prime is August. Apple TV is September. IU Hoops will force your hand with Peacock in October.

Was just coming on to say that. It was a tear jerker and the interaction between the two is definitely what made season one. Last night was sorely needed.

IU hoops hasn't forced my hand on anything for a long time.

I was kinda hoping there for a minute that the actor who played his dad would now be a recurring character. That guy was great in Better Call Saul. He killed that scene, as did Joe Pantalione with his!

I've been binging Last of Us and saw from the beginning up to now over the past 2 weeks.

The shift from seeing Joel kill everybody all the time in multiple badass ways, to seeing these long teen lesbian make-out scenes, seems a downgrade. Nothing against portraying LGBTQ onscreen, it's just been a weird transition from a Rambo tough guy focus to teen angst and identity crisis focus (still with some badass killing, though).
