He’s rapidly used up his political capital. He hardly had a “mandate” to start with. Didn’t get even 50 percent of the vote and only won by 1.5 percent of the vote, and Harris was a bad candidate.

There is no "attitude". It's more about how we don't know the facts. And you and I can't have a reasonable conversation as you obviously are not a reasonable person on this topic when you resort to calling DOGE and Musk "clowns".

Great on the aid. Can you show me the tracking details of where all this money, weapons, and aid has gone? Did this team issue a report?

It's all out there. One can dig to their hearts content.

You can do this with basically every element of govt. There are entire watchdog think-tanks that do this work full time. Fraud is extremely rare in Fed Govt spending. There are too many eyeballs on it. And there is significant separation of duties when it comes to obligating and actually disbursing money. In the DOD it is not even within the same agency that both actions happen.

Ah. You missed the reason for this whole back and forth. It stems from post 590 - 592 and a tech "SWAT" team that resigned. Some of it's listed accomplishment was the Afghan withdrawal and tracking Ukraine aid.

Oh ok. Not sure. I'll just say that DOD is a very complex organization that requires a lot of institutional knowledge. It's not really a plug and play model of replacing people

Sure sounds like Bessent and Musk aren’t going to part ways best of friends.

Bessent called Musk out for overpromising/underdelivering on DOGE. Musk called Bessent a Soros stooge. And Trump played witness to it.

Perfectly fair charge from Bessent. But the primary source of the angst right now is clearly the tariffs backfiring….just as everybody with half a brain said they would.

Bessent was right. Musk may know how to market electric cars and be smart enough to throw money behind the right rocket scientists, but he sucked at the DOGE stuff.

The United States has comprehensive free trade agreements in force with 20 countries.

Basically, Trump has ripped up previously agreed Congress-approved FTAs.

I assume the quickest wins will be to re-sign all of the above FTAs in more or less the same terms, considering the 90 day window. However,, these new agreements come without Congress approval, which only means it will last the length of Trump's reign?

How do all these new Trump-initiated deals help businesses in the medium/long term?

You're a hypocrite and as partisan as they come. As long as a poll shows what you want, it's all good, but one against your interests and it's shit.

We also all remember that red wave you were so sure of and then disappeared once it didn't happen.
