DeVries says the long-term goal is a balance between high school recruiting and portal recruiting. Says obviously near-term IU will need to lean into the portal a bit more.
DeVries on his offensive philosophy: "We feel like the best way to score is on a broken floor, before the defense is set." Says goal is to score within 12 seconds, and then reassess if that can't happen.
DeVries says the plan is to sit with every current player once they're on campus (some are on spring break) and get a sense for who fits and might want to stay.
DeVries: "Everything is in place here for us to win, and to win at a high level. Now our job is to make that happen."
