The way they push the ball in transition on males and misses… yikes

They will slaughter us

That’s been their mo for a long long time. I love how they get into transition. The way to beat MSU is too make shots so you can set your defense. They’re not that great in the half court.

Kinda doubt they'll slaughter us. I said that about Illinois, so take it for what its worth. But MSU's main offense isn't overly hard to guard, and Ballo should be very competitive against their bigs.

There is a danger they could get rolling if/when our offense struggles...but I suspect it'll be a physical, ugly game that they pull away in the end. Nebraska kind of game.

MS has probably the 4 quickest guards in the BT. They are quicker at every position than IU, its not a good matchup for iU at all.

You could be right, they don't shoot it well from 3 but I just feel like our transition D is not very good.

Which Nebraska beat down?

PSU isn't a very good matchup for IU either. Nor was OSU. Both those teams have faster perimeter guys than we do. Illinois and Iowa don't, necessarily, and those teams destroyed us.

If we turn it over against them, and/or our offense is jacking bad outside shots all game...and it allows them to get out in transition all game...yeah, they'll probably drill us. If we handle the ball well, and can effectively get in the lane with Rice, Gallo, and get Ballo involved well...they won't blow us out. I'm sure they'll beat us, though.

Mrs. Lincoln, did you like the play, other than the shooting part?
Ehh...not a great example. Louisville was a blowout from the start. Gonzaga, over quickly after halftime. Iowa quickly after half time. Illinois was a blowout from the start. Nebraska was a one possession game with a little over 5 minutes remaining in the game. 1 damn effective timeout away from keeping it within reach, or even winning. That's not a blowout like the OP was suggesting, not even close.
