McCulley to Meatchicken..

Michael Biehn Wtf GIF by GritTV

Omar is better anyway...

Let's see how they feel about Mc up there after he makes a few key drops...

There won't be any honeymoon or an understanding fan base saying he's still learning the position... He's being paid to produce...

Should be interesting to see if he can do it when the real pressure is on...

While he may have been nicked up at times, seems DM and Cigs/Shanahan didn’t click. Cigs in particular was always mindful of any dropped passes, and often said so (no matter the score). With one year of eligibility left this seems to be a high risk move for DM going to play for a coach that prefers smash mouth football and likely a freshman (albeit highly rated) QB. Anyway, good luck to you DM.

I'll be rooting for McCulley. Gotta figure the passing game will improve. McCulley doesn't need a ton of targets, just prove he's a contested catch guy. I think he'll get open. At least he's getting paid another year.

Sherrone Moore isn't dumb. They are supposedly getting the Maryland QB . As well as the frosh. Losing two guys though.

I agree. With no inside information I also thought there was a disconnect between DM and Cig.
I don’t know if it was a personality clash or Cig just didn’t like his ability.

He quit during a historically successful season because his feelings were hurt. I wish him all the success in the world in 2026 and beyond.
I think he quit during the season to save a final year of eligibility. Given what that is probably worth in NIL dollars for him, its hard to blame him.

I will be surprised if he turns out much better up there.

He has one more year to try to prove he is an NFL caliber WR. Cig didn't think he was better than Sarratt or Omar. He is good, but maybe not as good as he thinks.

Wonder if DM had to return any of his NIL money this season once he quit? Not sure if the players get NIL money weekly, monthly or in lump sum.

Early on I thought he referenced effort in practice
He did indeed. And it wasn’t just once he made the comments. Keep in mind, we paid a lot of NIL money to keep him at Indiana, jr only took DM a couple of months to be singled out for not practicing up to Cigs expectations. He was a non starter from game 1. Could we have used him? Sure. Would he help for next year? Likely. But not worth the dough. Cooper and others more than filled his shoes.

You play like you practice. If he wasn’t giving effort at practice I don’t blame Cig.
